The Coffee Experience

This is my mom...Esperanza.

During the summer, my mom discovered the coffee experience. After her chemo treatment, we would go and have coffee at Peet's Coffee & Tea where she would insist that we take our coffee and pastry outside at the tables and relax. She loved it! And after coffee, we would go and have "lunch"...

Now that my summer vacation is over, and her chemo appointments will be later in the day, I've told my mother that we can go to dinner and then afterwards go to Peet's for coffee.

I pray that my mother's health continues to be "stable". Each moment that I am with her, I treasure.

Recuerda que la esperanza siempre es importante. Quizas, más que cualquier tratamiento médico (ya ves a los lancheros perdidos nueve meses en altamar). De cualquier forma, disfruten esos cafés!

Good Daughter, I wish the best for you and your mother.
Secondly, I have an Aunt Esperanza. My mother's sister.

Ah, yes...the coffee experience. It's something Americans have missed out on until the past 7 years or so.

It's a good way to spend time with someone, for certain.

Enjoy it!

Que belleza de señora, que dios la guarde. Coco disfruten a plenitud estos momentos de unión y paz despues de la tormenta, deseo de todo corazón que estos ratos se repitan, así como también te deseo fortaleza para que la apoyes en todo momento.

I have heard about Peet's coffee and I have been meaning to order some online but never did. It is supposed to be really good though. Glad your mom's health is stable and you can spend time with her!

thanks for sharing. you've reminded me that i must do this with my own mother. sometimes we keep pushing things for another day and i don't think that's always the best thing to do.
