Civic Duty

I have fulfilled my civic duty for the year...I've been excused from Jury Duty!

My husband has yet to be summoned for Jury Duty, but I've been "fortunate" to be summoned 3 times a year, every year since I've been married!! It seems the computer can't make out my last name-technology! Alright, not only computers, but many people (as well) don't know which is my last name...

The solution to this problem is simple- either delete my husband's last name from mine, or save each and every summons I receive and let them know that my civic duty for the year has been fullfilled.

I've only been summoned once, but I called and was not needed. Darn it. I'm sure my time is coming though LOL

My husband has to go next week and I am summoned the following week.

They spelled my very conventional middle name incorrectly on the summons. Seems to be a widespread problem!

I always get selected. I think I have a reasonable demeanor that both the prosecution and the defense teams can tolerate. Oh, lucky me....

Have a great day!

I know what you are going through. When we lived in San Francisco I was called-up all the time. I was self-employed, and I would have to take time off to serve (no income). Rusty was never called-up. Here I was called-up once but asked to be delayed because we would be out of the state, I haven't heard from them since, but now I can do it with no problem. Rusty still has not ever been been notified. What's with that?

I seem to always get selected as well. I know people that have never been selected and then there's me that gets that dreaded letter all the time!
