And this too shall pass

Stress...
my mom is depressed (I don't blame her, if I were in her condition, I would be too)

Stress...
my mom at times thinks of just stopping all treatments and medicines (I pray to God that this isn't so, that it's just her depression)

Stress...
if my mom does decide to stop all treatments, I must accept her decision and support her (Lord, guide us and give us strength)

Stress...
I sometimes am at my worst, and I don't like that! (God give me patience!)

Stress...
I want to make things "pleasant" for everyone (including my brother!)

Stress...
we are living on "borrowed" time (I want to treasure every moment I have with my mom)

Stress...
it is now one year since my mom was diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer, and it's been a difficult year (Heavenly Father, I don't want my mother to suffer)

Stress...
my mom's protein level is LOW (another blood transfussion?), her diabetic meds need to be adjusted (or she'll need to start injecting "insulin"), she is scheduled for surgery in order to "clean" her dialysis site (Dear Lord, how much more can she take?!)

Stress...
my aunt is getting worse each day (dementia!)

Stress...
we are taking care of both my mom and aunt (God, give us strength!)

Stress...
my mom does NOT want any "outside" help (I would like it, even if it's just to make sure that my mom and my aunt eat during the day while my brother, sister, and I are at work)

Stress...
and then there's work (we start State Testing tomorrow)

Whenever I am feeling overwhelmed, when I can't see beyond the "present", I remember the saying..."And this too shall pass". And yes, I know this will pass, in the meantime...my mother comes first.

*I need to focus on the positive...

It's been a little over a year since my Dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer and I can totally relate to how you feel. That overwhelmed feeling, the feeling that it's all just too much...and finally, accepting that it's all in God's hands and all we can do is pray is the only thing that keeps me from losing it sometimes.

I'll keep your mother in my prayers.

REgardless of what your mother might want, I think that you need to get some outside help. You're getting stressed and sick isn't going to do her any good.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all...

Coco, my good friend Mariana always says "if God brought you to it, He will bring you through it." I can relate to the worries and stress of having a mom with a chronic health problems (my mom is a diabetic too and on dialysis) so you, your mom, your aunt and siblings are in my prayers. Be sure He will help you through this.

Oh, how I can relate.
It is overwhelming at times...the stress of a serious illness.

Keeping you all in my thoughts.
