Back to the Classroom

Yes, summer vacation is over and I'm back to work.

As always, the first few weeks are CHAOTIC! A new PREP Schedule everyday, new students added to our class after Labor Day, not having all the text books needed for the curriculum, children not bringing to school the required supplies, and we, the teachers, not having the money to purchase the supplies needed. Anyway, we're off to a new school year...yay!

This year a few of us, four to be precise, are "CORE" Teaching...it's what they do in Middle orJr. High School, but in our case- we're teaching 3rd Grade. It's NOT the norm to do this in Elementary. I'll be teaching the Language Arts and Reading for both my class and my partner Connie's. And she'll be teaching the Math, Science, and Social Studies Curriculum. We'll see how this works out...

Good luck Hon!

I remember when I was in 3rd grade (back in the 60's) we had a separate teacher for reading.

Everything old is new again!
