My Student

One of my students has been diagnosed with a brain tumor. I don't know all the details, but apparently one doctor has stated that it is inoperable. The parents will be taking this child to another doctor for a second opinion.

What did I notice? Nothing, really...I had never met the child before. He was "new" to Third Grade, therefore, I knew no background information on him. However, the second grade teacher noticed immediately that something was wrong with this child. Somehow, during summer break the child became "cross eyed"!! And as the month of September progressed, I did notice that the crossing of his eyes was getting worse.

When I spoke to the parents all I did was cry with them...

A uno de mis estudiantes le han encontrado que tiene un tumor cerebral. No conozco todos los detalles, pero un doctor ya les dijo a los padres que el niño no tiene lucha, que no le pueden operar. Los papás han decido llevar a su hijo con otro especialista por una segunda opinion.

Qué noté yo? Nada en realidad...Antes de que él entrará a mi salón yo no lo conocía, no sabía de él. Recién comenzó el Tercer Año conmigo. En cambio, la maestra de segundo de imediato notó que algo estaba mal con este niño. Pues durante las vacaciones de verano se hizo "bizco"!! Ya estando conmigo, durante el transcurso del primer mes de clases (Septiembre) noté que su "condición" iba de mal en peor.

Cuando hable con los padres de mi alumno, lo único que hize fue llorar con ellos.
