Kids

Years ago, one of my little students (2nd grader) was playing under the table during Read Aloud. I told her to stop playing and to listen to the story. Of course, she continued to play. A few seconds later, she was howling!! Her arm (somehow) got stuck in the brackets holding the legs to the table. I tried to pry her out of the brackets, but had no luck. In the meantime, she is crying LOUDLY! I then decide to call my administrator for help. KIDS!

Today, while getting ready to go home, another student of mine (3rd grader) gets "stuck". Somehow, her long hair got tangled in her backpack's zipper. No, she did not howl, or cry, but came very close to it. I went over to her and tried to see how her hair had become "tangled" in the zipper. By now she's ready to cry, I let loose her "pony tail", and voila, she was free!! I was very close to snipping those few strands of hair, though. At the end of the ordeal, she did cry. KIDS!

A couple of years ago one of my second graders bumped his head on his desk. Why was he crawling under the desk? Who knows!!! I sent him to the office to be checked out and then he went home. His mom called me the next day to tell me he threw up a lot , she took him to the ER and he had suffered from a concussion. KIDS!
