When it rains, it pours!!

1. My abscence from the blogsphere this past week was due to:
having sprained my lower back (while bathing my mom) and being under the influence of some very powerful drugs for the obscene lower back pain it caused me.

I went to the ER twice!! And each day I went, they injected me with some good stuff!! I liked it!! I thought of going to the ER a third time, but I didn't. Yes, for that injection!! Anyway, I'll be starting Physical Therapy on Monday...

As for drugs...the only one I am now taking is Ibuprofin (800 mg) at night.

2. My mom didn't want to go see the oncologist...so my husband and I went to the appointment. No "new" news...a perscription for some liquid med to increase appetite, and a referral for a CT Scan. So next Thursday, my sister will take my mom for a CT Scan of the abdomen/pelvis.

The oncologist did say, that once the CT Scan was performed, he did want to see my mom. As far as "life expectance", he said that was up to God.

My sister and I suspect that the cancer has invaded all , or practically all of her abdomen. Presently, my mom is eating very, very, VERY little. (maybe 4 bites of something solid, and one Nepro/Boost drink) And yes, what ever she wants to eat, we give it to her, even if she's not supposed to have it according to the Renal Failure Diet.

3. Because of my bad back...I also didn't get to participate in any of the Professional Learning Days for teachers, nor did I do anything to get my classroom "ready" for school. Oh well...at least I'm walking. (more like baby steps at the moment)

Coco, I hope things get better soon for you. Having the kids back in the classroom will be a refresher.
I'm not going to tell you to hang in there, because the little I know of you is that you're very much stronger than the hang-in-there implies.
Love ya!
Blessings!!!

I was getting concerned by your absence from the Blogoverse.

I'm glad that you're feeling better and continue to think of and pray for you and yours...
